Home Straight director Stevie Jackson is volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Society as a Dementia Champion, helping to increase understanding and awareness of dementia.
Recently Stevie teamed up with Moore’s Estate Agency to deliver a workshop to their staff. Owner, Jenny Moore said ‘It’s a reality that we deal with more and more people being affected with dementia and when it comes to selling or buying a house, we would like those affected and their families to trust that we will deal with their specific needs as a sensitively as possible’.
Dementia Friends is a national campaign by the Alzheimer’s Society aiming to build more dementia friendly communities. It is their biggest initiative and is designed to transform the way the nation thinks, acts, and talks about the condition. Dementia Friends encourages people to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with dementia within their own communities.
