Earlier in May, eight Home Straight carers gained their Healthcare Passport from the NHS Leicestershire and Rutland. The staff attended a three-day practical training course and undertook a series of assessments to achieve the certification.
What is the Healthcare Passport?
Produced in conjunction with the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR) Health and Social Care protocol, the Healthcare Passport is a training programme which provides carers with the skills and competence to administer generic healthcare tasks to our clients, confidently and safely. This ensures that patients feel comfortable during each task alongside the carers they are familiar with, and reduces the number of callers visiting the home.
